Sion, le 9 mars 2012 – L'abbaye de st-maurice s'est implanté sur ce site il y a bientôt 1500 ans. ce site avait certainement été choisi pour la protection offerte par le rocher. protection qui s'est avérée, par les chutes de pierres, être également un danger important.

Sion, March 9, 2012 – The abbey of Saint Maurice was built almost 1500 years ago. It is situated against a cliff in a section of the road between Geneva and the Simplon Pass. This particular site was likely to be chosen for its defensive position given by the cliff. However the planned fortification proved a failure due to rock fragments falling from the cliff onto the building.

Montreal, March 8, 2012 – The Bar "La Bohème" (entre amis) is located in the “Galeria de Paris” street, amidst the downtown area of Porto. The redesign sought to implement and structuralize the space, creating its own identity. The solution was formalized through the texture and the colour of the wood, which defines the space and provides depth to the structure's design. This structure, which was placed along the corridors and namely at the walls and ceiling, allows to subvert the whole appearance of the space, appealing to its visitors sense of discovery.

Tokyo, March 7, 2012 – A coffee table is made of sand in hourglass fixed in the ambiance without a case. Time stops while taking a short breath to drink some coffee. “I want to stop time, even if it is impossible. Escape from busy works while drinking a cup of coffee, at least. I tried to make the coffee table formed into sands in hourglass. Hourglass is a symbol of passage of time. I think that if falling sands could be stopped, time would also stop.”

Érigé à l'intersection des rues Sainte-Catherine et Saint-Laurent, le bâtiment promet de devenir le lieu de référence de l'offre culturelle montréalaise. S'implantant au cœur du tronçon névralgique qu'est le projet de revitalisation du boulevard Saint-Laurent, l'édifice de six étages répond aux normes de conception écologiques LEED-NC.

Designed to meet LEED-NC environmental standards, this six-storey building promises to become a Montréal cultural landmark, being located at the intersection of St. Catherine St. and St. Laurent Blvd., the nerve centre of the St. Laurent Blvd. revitalization project.

Beirut, March 5, 2012 – Bokja is a Turkish word that describes an intricately worked fabric created to cover a bride's dowry. Lebanese designers Hoda Baroudi and Maria Hibri bring a similar passion for detail and history to the furniture which they create under the same name. Baroudi and Hibri source furniture designs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, unearthed in Beirut's flea-markets and antique dealerships, and then cover them with exuberant tapestries and textiles from the Levant and the legendary Silk Road countries of Central Asia. Combining ancient culture with repurposed modern design, Bokja is creating one-of-a-kind pieces that offer an explosion of colour, pattern and a richly textured sense of history.

Paris, le 5 mars 2012 – Afin d'y accueillir notre client amateur d'art, l'organisation de cet appartement parisien situé au cinquième étage d'un immeuble fin 19e est complètement revue. Initialement cloisonné en de nombreuses petites pièces, l'espace est ouvert afin de profiter de la double orientation est-ouest et faire traverser la lumière naturelle de part en part tout au long de la journée. Le mur porteur en pans de bois qui partageait l'appartement est ajouré et forme un filtre léger entre salle à manger et séjour. La cuisine ouverte fait face à un mur de placards sculptés formant autant de niches bleues Klein qui recevront telles des écrins les tableaux chers à notre client.

Paris, March 5, 2012 – On the 5th floor of a Parisian 19th century housing building, an apartment is entirely re-designed to make a home for an art lover. Initially partitioned into a series of small rooms, the dwelling space is now wide open, emphasizing the east/west orientation axis that allows natural light to spread in all day long from side to side. The former dividing wall is stripped down to reveal its plain wooden structure, creating a filter between the dining room and the living room. The open kitchen faces a wall sculpted by cupboards and framing welcoming International Klein Blue niches for the beloved art pieces of the owner.

Au-delà de sa simplicité apparente, l'espace intérieur de la résidence dévoile une personnalité plastique qui évoque davantage une sculpture monolithique qu'un simple lieu de vie.
