L'arrondissement de Ville-Marie est fier de dévoiler les propositions des professionnels en design et en architecture. Dès aujourd'hui et jusqu'au 28 mai, le public est invité à voter en ligne pour choisir ses coups de cœur parmi les 25 propositions soumises au concours.

New York, May 17, 2012 – After winning a global design ideas competition, HOK has been selected to design the new University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences on its downtown campus. Competition finalists included Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and Cannon Design, Rafael Vinoly Architects with Foit-Albert Associates, and Grimshaw and Davis Brody Bond.

Une table constituée d'arbres qui soutiennent la table et lui donne ainsi un aspect vivant. L'impression que le temps s'est arrêté, entre Magritte et dada, tout en étant très utile , elle s'adapte en longueur comme en largeur à votre intérieur puisqu' elle est sur mesure! Fine mais robuste, elle se marie avec tous les intérieurs suivant le choix des essences de bois. Elle évolue aussi avec les saisons, à vous de lui donner sa décoration entre bougies, guirlandes, ...ici une version en chêne et hêtre de 10 mètre de long, lui donne toute sa monumentalité. En bois de tek pour l'extérieur...

Elegant but robust, it matches every interior depending on the choice of wood species. It also evolves with the season, as you decorate it with candles or garlands. Here is a monumental version in oak and beech 10 metres long. In teak for the exterior.

Maulden, May 17, 2012 – Dovecote Barn is a contemporary rear extension project to a recently converted barn in Great Amwell, Hertfordshire. Our clients proposed to build a rear extension to the barn in order to create more practical living space for the family, by creating some depth to the long and narrow footprint of the existing barn. The rear extension becomes the new dining and informal social area, with direct access and visual connections to the living area and the children's play area (former dining room). It was our objective to improve the existing barn into a more family friendly space as a whole, yet retaining the character and the linear nature of the barn.

La septième édition du festival se tiendra au mois de juin 2012, pendant 5 jours, les 13-14-15-16 et 17 juin 2012 à Montpellier.
Montpellier, 10 avril 2012 – Sur le thème de la surprise, une centaine d'équipes internationales a répondu présente et 10 d'entre elles ainsi que l'université invitée vont vous présenter des oeuvres toutes plus surprenantes les unes que les autres pour cette 7ème édition du Festival des Architectures Vives à Montpellier. Le Festival a pour objet la sensibilisation du grand public au large domaine de l'architecture. Il s'attache non seulement à mettre en avant le travail d'une jeune génération d'architectes, paysagistes, urbanistes mais aussi à faire découvrir des territoires urbains inattendus. Le projet que propose le Festival des Architectures Vives prendra place au coeur de la ville historique, et se transforme en parcours, sorte de découverte architecturale en coeur de la ville.
